Mumbai used to be a city that was envied by every other city in India. Because it had an excellent public transport network of local trains and buses. A network to rival any international city. Its road network was also so decent that distance was measured in time and never in kms. Irrespective of where you were in the city, there was a fixed time to reach another spot in the city. And road delays of even 10 minutes were rare, right until the 2010s.
