Ukraine war scramble: Tactically speaking, the Ukraine war is witnessing a discernible escalation in the weeks before Donald Trump takes over as US president. Over the past week, Ukraine fired missiles – reportedly US-made ATACMS – at a Russian air base on the Azov Sea, as well as drones targeting an oil depot in Russia’s Bryansk region. Subsequently, Russia launched another widespread attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with 93 missiles and more than 200 drones.
