IMD extends yellow alert to Dec 5

The yellow alert, initially issued for Dec 4, warns of thunderstorms with lightning at isolated locations across Goa. Despite the light rainfall bringing cloudy weather to parts of the state, the temperatures saw a noticeable increase. On Wednesday, Panaji recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4 degrees celcius and a minimum of 26 degrees celcius. This marks a slight increase from the maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees celcius and a significant rise from the minimum temperature of 20 degrees celcius recorded on Nov 30. The relative humidity also rose to 79 per cent on Wednesday from 72 per cent the previous day.The IMD indicated that the weather will be dry starting from Dec 6, bringing an end to the current spell of rain.
