INDORE: A man was brutally assaulted and his genitals were chopped off, allegedly by husband of a woman with whom he was having an affair. The attacker then walked several kilometres to the Barod police station, carrying the severed organ in his hand, and surrendered himself.
SDOP Motilal Kushwaha said that the victim was identified as Ishwar Singh Sisodiya, 35, of Nath Dehriya village in Agar Malwa district. According to preliminary investigation, Ishwar was in an illicit relationship with Vilambabai (35), wife of Kalu Singh Sondhiya, 37, a resident of the same village.
As per police sources, Kalu Singh discovered the ongoing affair and in a fit of rage, conspired with others to take revenge. On Friday, Kalu Singh along with his brother-in-law Sardar Singh, a resident of Piplia Nankar and four others ---Kripalsingh, Lalsingh, Darbarsingh, and Kalusingh, all residents of Nana Deheriya, — allegedly attacked Ishwar Singh and severed his genitals, causing massive blood loss. He was later referred to Susner hospital for emergency treatment.
Kalu Singh then carried the severed organ to the police station, reportedly in his hand, and confessed to the crime.
A zero FIR was registered at Susner police station against six accused. "Kalu Singh has been arrested whereas five others are absconding. Investigations are ongoing, and a search is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects," SDOP Kushwaha said.
According to sources, the victim and the woman had been involved in a relationship for the past two years. Around six months ago, the matter was brought before village panchayat, and a mutual agreement was reached that Ishwar Singh would cease all contact with the woman. It was, however, reported that he continued to visit her, which ultimately led to this violent retaliation.
The police are currently questioning locals and family members of both parties to determine the full extent and timeline of the relationship. The situation in the village is under control, and the police were monitoring the area closely.
