Alert neta foils bid by civic staff to dump trash at vacant plot in Thane

An alert former corporator, Prakash Shinde, successfully prevented the municipal administration from dumping garbage on a vacant plot in Thane's Wagle estate area. Shinde, the younger brother of Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, intercepted the municipal workers and a senior official. The city faces a waste management issue, with a daily generation of 1000MT of waste and limited dumping space.
