Ravi Dubey CONFIRMS playing Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'; says he loves Ranbir Kapoor as his own elder brother

Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies we have in Bollywood. The film boasts of an ensemble star cast.
In an interview with Connect Cine, Ravi Dubey has confirmed that he will be essaying the role of Lakshman in the movie. He expressed respect for the project's sanctity and mentioned that the directors, Namit and Nitesh, likely had a plan for how to reveal details. To avoid revealing too much, he sought approval from them before discussing his involvement, ensuring he didn’t unintentionally give away anything.

Ravi further described the film's narration as "earnest" and "sincere." He also spoke highly of working with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time, praising his kindness, empathy, and grace. Ravi admired how Ranbir, despite being a megastar, never flaunts his status and remains humble on set. He acknowledged Ranbir's hard work and dedication, calling him the most graceful person he’s met and expressing deep respect, likening him to an elder brother.
The pre-production of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is reportedly in full swing. Earlier this year, a leaked picture from the set featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costume went viral on social media. While the film’s team has yet to make an official announcement, the excitement around it has been building, with a 2025 release planned.
