Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar was recently spotted leaving for the USA as he is set to undergo a surgical procedure at Miami Cancer Institute. Ahead of leaving India, the actor was seen becoming emotional.
The actor is set to be subjected to surgery in the USA on December 24, 2024, owing to a serious illness he has been facing. As per a report by India Today, the actor was seen talking to his fans as he left for his treatment, appearing visibly emotional.
Shiva Rajkumar shared details about his upcoming treatment. He mentioned that he would be treated by Dr. Murugesh N Manohar, a well-known oncologist. The actor conveyed his confidence in the doctor's abilities, stating that he had a "good hand" and assured him that the procedure would go smoothly. Despite feeling nervous about the surgery, Shiva reassured his fans that there was no need for them to panic, as he was optimistic about his recovery.
Accompanying him on this journey are his wife Geetha and their younger daughter Niveditha, who will provide support during this challenging time. Shiva Rajkumar also confirmed that he plans to return to India on January 26, 2025, just in time to celebrate the New Year with his loved ones.
On the professional front, Shiva Rajkumar recently starred in 'Bhairathi Ranagal', which was released on November 14, 2024. The film also boasts an impressive cast, including Rahul Bose and Rukmini Vasanth.
Looking ahead, Shiva Rajkumar is set to appear in another Kannada film titled 'Uttarakaanda' and has been roped in for a key role in Ram Charan's upcoming project tentatively named 'RC16', directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
