Miya George on her role In 'Jai Mahendran': Getting into series is the next step in my career

Malayalam actress Miya George is excited about her latest venture into the web series realm with the comedy entertainer ‘Jai Mahendran’. The actress plays a pivotal role in the drama series, which began streaming on October 11.

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress said, "I'm a great fan of series... whichever language I enjoy," explaining her passion for series. "There is huge content happening in series on different platforms. So getting into series is kind of the next step in my career,” Miya said.


Miya plays Priya in ‘Jai Mahendran’. Priya is an independent, strong character married to Mahendran, played by Saiju Kurup. Describing her role, she told us, "My character's name is Priya. She is a teacher by profession and Mahendran's wife. He is a little cunning, but she is not like him. She is independent and very honest. She corrects Mahendran too."

The actress last worked in the hit investigative thriller ‘Thalavan’, which ran exceptionally well in theaters as well as on the OTT platforms. Talking about the sequel of the film, she said, "Thalavan was huge in theaters and got huge views on the OTT platform in no time. Thalavan 2 is announced, and I have high hopes for it."
