Two of the most promising actors in Kollywood,
Kathir and
Mahendran, have come together for a film titled Iyalvadhu Karavel. The film, directed by debutant SLS Henry, is said to be a romantic drama.
A source says, “The film is set in one of the oldest colleges in Chennai, and it revolves around romance and student politics. While Kathir plays the lead, Mahendran plays the antagonist.
Child artiste Yuvalakshmi is debuting as the female lead with this film.”
The source adds, “In Kollywood, closest of friends have clashed with each other on screen. Joining that list will be Kathir and Mahendran, who are good friends in real life. Their clash sequences will be really intense and add great depth to the story.”
The shoot of the film in underway in Dindigul and we hear that almost 50 per cent of the talkie portions have been completed. While Ghibran is scoring the music, Sridhar is handling the cinematography.
Meanwhile, Kathir recently had a release in Sarbath, and is now working on the Tamil remake of the Mollywood thriller Ishq. Mahendran, on the other hand, was seen in
Dhanush’s recent release, Maaran. He has a handful of films, including Ripubury, Kara, Amigo Garage and Arrtham.
