Rebel star Prabhas is set to star in the highly anticipated film 'Fauji', directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Recent rumours regarding this project are circulating that the film might draw inspiration from a Shah Rukh Khan starrer.
As per the rumours, it is suggested that the movie has taken inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan's 'Veer-Zaara'. However, these claims have been dismissed as per an OTTPlay report, suggesting that 'Fauji' features an original storyline crafted specifically for Prabhas.
Prabhas has several promising films in the pipeline, including one with director Hanu Raghavapudi. The duo has teamed up for a project tentatively titled 'Fauji'. Recently, rumours suggested that the movie is inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Veer-Zaara.
The film is described as a period drama infused with elements of action and romance, set against the backdrop of pre-independence India. Prabhas will portray an army officer, and the story will explore themes of bravery, love, and sacrifice. Director Hanu Raghavapudi has confirmed that the script is entirely fresh, crafted with Prabhas in mind.
During a recent interview with Rajesh Manne, the 'Sita Raman' director expressed confidence that the actor will deliver a performance that meets audience expectations. "Its storyline, script and background are completely new, and undoubtedly, the actor will do complete justice by pulling it off with perfect finesse," he said.

The production of 'Fauji' is currently underway, with filming taking place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The cast also includes veteran actress Jaya Prada and newcomer Imanvi.
'Fauji' is part of a busy slate for Prabhas, who is also working on several other projects. He will soon resume shooting for 'The Raja Saab', a horror-comedy set for release in April 2025, and he is set to collaborate with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on another highly awaited film titled 'Spirit'. Additionally, Prabhas will reprise his role in 'Kalki Part 2' and continue his journey in 'Salaar Part 2'.
