About the film
'Peddi' is a village-based sports action drama that promises to showcase Ram Charan in a never-before-seen avatar. The film revolves around native sports like power cricket, wrestling, and kabaddi, with Charan portraying an expert athlete. Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar plays his coach.
First glimpse
The poster released on Ram Charan's birthday depicts him in a fierce and raw look, sporting messy hair, a wild beard, and a striking nose ring. In one image, he is seen smoking a cigar while wearing a striped red-and-blue shirt. Another poster shows him holding an old cricket bat with anger in his eyes in a rustic village stadium illuminated by floodlights.
Janhvi Kapoor stars alongside Charan in her second Tollywood project after 'Devara.' The film also features Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma, of 'Mirzapur' fame, in pivotal roles. The music of the film is composed by A.R. Rahman.
Ram Charan was last seen in 'Game Changer,' a political drama directed by S. Shankar. Although 'Game Changer' did not fare well at the box office, Ram Charan's performance was praised.
