One of the passengers on the plane, John Nelson, posted a video depicting the plane evacuation, where the plane was lying upside-down in the snowy terrain. Passengers are seen walking away from the wreckage in the video.. “We just landed. Our plane crashed. It’s upside-down,�?Nelson speaks in the video as he struggles to catch his breath. Emergency workers can be seen dousing the plane while people continue to evacuate. His video also shows people walking on the snowy pathway away from the plane.

Nelson shared his experience to CNN, stating that he was unaware of any issues with the plane during the flight. “When we hit, it was just a super hard �?it hit the ground, and the plane went sideways,�?Nelson said. He added that he saw “a big fireball�?on the plane's left side. “We tried to get out of there as quickly as possible,�?Nelson said, adding, “Even now I smell like jet fuel�?

This accident came just weeks after the horrific American Airlines plane crash into a US Army Black Hawk helicopter that claimed the lives of all 60 passengers and four crew members on board. It also comes after the fatal Jeju Air and Azerbaijan Airlines crash in December.
