Aryan Deogade wins, Parth Lonkar finishes second in Nagpur Blitz Chess tournament

Maintaining an unbeaten run, Aryan Deogade emerged champion in the Nagpur District Blitz Selection Chess tournament, organized by the Nagpur District Chess Association, at the Dhanwate National College Indoor Hall here on Monday.

NAGPUR: Maintaining an unbeaten run, Aryan Deogade emerged champion in the Nagpur District Blitz Selection Chess tournament, organized by the Nagpur District Chess Association, at the Dhanwate National College Indoor Hall here on Monday.
Aryan notched up highest six points from as many rounds to romp home in style. Parth Lonkar and Khush Wairagade scored five points each but on the basis of tie-breaker, former was declared as runner-up, while Khush finished third.
The prizes were distributed by NDCA secretary Kalyan Barat.

Chief arbiter Pravin Pantawane and assistant arbiter Shrikant Bagde were present on the occasion.
The top two players Aryan and Parth will represent Nagpur district in the forthcoming state tournament to be held at Mumbai on April 13 and 14.
