The WWE Universe was left stunned after Elimination Chamber, but not just because of John Cena’s shocking heel turn. In a moment that sparked outrage, rapper Travis Scott got physically involved in the brutal beatdown of Cody Rhodes, leaving the Undisputed
WWE Universal Champion with a busted eardrum and a black eye. Fans and insiders alike have criticized Scott’s actions, but former WWE and ECW star Stevie Richards has now taken the criticism to another level. In a scathing attack, Richards slammed Scott for what he called a “selfish” and “arrogant” move, questioning his presence in the segment.
Stevie Richards Blasts Travis Scott for 'Selfish' Behavior
During an episode of
The Stevie Richards Show, the former Hardcore Champion did not hold back his thoughts on Scott’s role in the segment. Expressing his frustration, Stevie
Richards labeled Scott as an “a**hole” and criticized his approach.
Travis Scott is an A**HOLE
"You did some very arrogant selfish and dare I say you took advantage of Cody and what should have happened and what I wish would have happened: 'We're off the air guys' and Cody got up and started beating the s**t out of Travis Scott ” Richards said.
Richards was particularly displeased with how Scott carried himself, implying that the rapper lacked an understanding of his role in the segment. “Nobody cares about you, Travis Scott,” he continued. “You were there as an extra piece in a bigger story, not the focal point.”
The former ECW icon also suggested that WWE may have let its guard down, given its recent success with celebrity involvement. Superstars like Bad Bunny, Logan Paul, and
Pat McAfee have impressed fans with their dedication and seamless transition into the squared circle. However, according to Richards, Scott did not meet the same standard. “They thought Scott could be another crossover success, but instead, he made it all about himself. He ran around the ring like a clueless extra, and Cody paid the price.”
