Call of Duty Black Ops 6 won’t offer campaign mode early access to pre-order players; here’s what the company said
Microsoft-owned Activision is set to launch the next iteration in the Call of Duty franchise, the Black Ops 6 on October 25. Ahead of the official launch, the gaming studio offered early access to the beta version of the game to players who pre-ordered the title. Now, Activision has reportedly confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not offer early access to the game’s campaign mode to players who have pre-booked.
It will be available to all players directly next month on launch day.
“Activision confirms there is no campaign early access for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,” Charlie Intel said in a post on social media platform X (earlier Twitter).
In a statement to the gaming account, the gaming studio said: “The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment October 25th. As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.”

Traditionally, Activision has granted early access to the campaign mode for players who pre-ordered recent Call of Duty games, including last year's Modern Warfare 3. The early access period typically begins a week before the official launch, allowing fans to experience the story mode before diving into Multiplayer and Zombie modes.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6: What we know so far

Black Ops 6 is set to be the first mainline Call of Duty game to be released directly on Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard last year made this possible.
Black Ops 6 recently concluded its second beta weekend. Activision is expected to announce changes for the full launch soon. The game introduces new features like Body Shield and Omnimovement features as well as brings back elements from Treyarch's 2020 game, Black Ops Cold War.
