Apple CEO Tim Cook described the enthusiastic reception at iPhone launches as "an out-of-body experience" during a walk-and-talk interview with late-night host Jimmy Fallon in New York City on Tuesday.

"Every launch, I try to come to Fifth Avenue because it's sort of the centre of the world, and the enthusiasm is so incredible there," Cook told Fallon.

When asked about the rockstar-like reception he receives, Cook humbly stated, "It's like, 'Aah!' It's an out-of-body experience. I just remind myself that their love is for Apple, and I just happen to be the person they attribute it to."

The Apple CEO expressed excitement about the upcoming Apple Intelligence features, set to roll out next month, i.e. October. He highlighted the email summarization function, noting its significance given the hundreds of emails he receives daily, and how the feature can summarise a long email with one click. He also mentioned Genmoji and Image Playground, though the two features aren’t expected to release until later this year.

During their walk, Fallon, who revealed he was once a computer science major, engaged Cook in discussions about the CEO's 27-year journey at Apple. Cook admitted he never anticipated becoming the company's chief executive when he first joined.
