Is DeepSeek available in India: How to download and what not to miss
DeepSeek AI, the Chinese-AI startup app has taken the internet by storm. Within a short span, DeepSeek has risen to prominence, surpassing OpenAI’s ChatGPT in App Store rankings and solidifying its place as one of the most talked-about AI tools in recent times. Its cutting-edge capabilities and open-source nature have made it a favorite among tech enthusiasts and researchers alike. As the app’s popularity continues to soar, users in India are finding themselves unable to fully utilize it just yet. Here’s everything you need to know.

How to use DeekSeek on mobile in India

DeepSeek mobile app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Users can download the app for free.
To begin using the AI chatbot, users need to register themselves on the app by either using email ID, mobile number or they can also use a Google account. Once registered, users can start interacting with the chatbot.

Why DeekSeek can not be used in India

It must be noted here that while the registrations were previously available to users across the globe, the Chinese AI startup has restricted new user sign-ups to mainland China only. Reason: The company is citing "large-scale malicious attacks" on its systems.
Due to this, registrations are currently limited in India, restricting its use in the country. Visitors to the website – http://chat.deepseek.com/sign_in are now seeing a message that reads “Due to large-scale malicious attacks on DeepSeek's services, registration may be busy. Please wait and try again. Registered users can log in normally. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

The post says “To prevent any potential harm, we reiterate that @deepseek_ai is our sole official account on Twitter/X. Any accounts:
- representing us
- using identical avatars
- using similar names
are impersonations.
Please stay vigilant to avoid being misled!”
