Mary Trump, the estranged niece of former President Donald Trump labelled her her uncle Donald a "McIdiot" following the former president's visit to a McDonald’s in suburban Philadelphia, where he donned an apron and cooked fries. Sharing a video of Trump watching a cook at McDonald's making fries, Mary Trump alleged that the former president avoids such work because it is "incredibly hard work."
"Working at a fast food restaurant is incredibly hard work—which is why Donald still isn’t doing it. #McIdiot," she said in a post on X.
Trump served fries and engaged in an impromptu news conference through the drive-thru window. “It requires great expertise, actually, to do it right and to do it fast,” Trump said, amazed he didn’t have to touch the fries directly.
His visit aimed to counter Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’s claims about her past job at McDonald's. While Trump dismissed her experience as fabricated, saying she “lied about working there.”
