Toyota Fortuner Legender 4x4 becomes more affordable: Check what’s new

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Toyota Fortuner Legender 4x4 with a manual transmission priced at Rs 46.36 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV was previously available only in AT form in both 4x4 and 4x2 variants. Apart from the addition of a manual transmission, the new 4x4 MT variant retains the same features and colour choices as before. Bookings for the SUV are open, interested customers can book it online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Talking about the variants, the Fortuner Legender is offered in three variants 4x2 AT priced at Rs 44.1 lakh, 4x4 MT priced at Rs 46.36 lakh and 4x4 AT priced at Rs 48.1 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). For reference, a 4x4 MT Fortuner Legender costs Rs 1.73 lakh less than its automatic transmission counterpart.

The Legender 4x4 MT is powered by the same 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine which puts out 204 hp of power and 420 nm torque. The same engine in a 6-speed torque converter AT produces 500 nm (80 nm more than MT). The MT Legender is powered by a 6-speed manual transmission which sends power to all four wheels, It also gets 4x4 High and 4x4 Low options.
The Fortuner Legender looks sharper and sportier than the regular Fortuner. It features sleek LED headlights with DRLs and a larger mesh-pattern grille. Other highlights include 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, an integrated roof spoiler, LED taillights, piano black exterior elements, LED fog lamps and more. It’s offered in a single Pearl White with a contrasting black roof and also with a black and maroon interior scheme.

In terms of features, the SUV continues to get an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, semi-digital cluster, 8-way power-adjustable and ventilated driver and co-drivers seats, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, front parking sensors, ambient lighting, wireless charger and more. Safety-wise, it gets a rear camera with sensors, seven airbags, stability control, ABS with EBD, hill assist control and more.
