This accounts for a 27.7 percent market share, up from 26.57 percent in September 2023. The Activa scooter continues to contribute significantly to its overall sales.

Hero MotoCorp took the second spot with 2,71,390 units sold in September, representing a 22.5 percent market share. While Hero maintains a strong presence with its Splendor motorcycle leading sales, the company witnessed a decline compared to 3,52,254 units sold in September 2023.

TVS Motor Company secured the third position in the rankings, with 2,21,257 units sold in September, holding an 18.37 percent market share. This marks a slight improvement from its 17.43 percent share in September last year.

Bajaj Auto ranked fourth, selling 1,41,668 units in September 2024, including its EV models. Bajaj captured an 11.7 percent market share, slightly up from 11.37 percent the previous year. The Pulsar range and the commuter bike Platina continue to be Bajaj’s best-sellers.

Suzuki Motorcycle India rounded out the top five, with 74,287 units sold in September, securing a 6.17 percent market share. This marks a slight increase from the 5.61 percent market share it held in September 2023. Suzuki’s popular Access scooter remains its top performer.

Royal Enfield sold 57,504 units in September 2024, securing the sixth spot in the two-wheeler rankings. This marks a slight in its market share dipping to 4.78 percent from 4.87 percent.

India Yamaha Motor retained its position in the top seven, selling 50,065 units in September 2024. The brand achieved a market share of 4.16 percent, a modest increase from 3.77 percent in September 2023. Yamaha’s success is driven by its sporty models like the R15, alongside its scooter range that includes the Fascino and Aerox.
