LIC Q2 profit declines 3.8% to Rs7,621cr
MUMBAI: LIC reported a 3.8% decline in net profit to Rs 7,621 crore for the Sept quarter, mainly due to lower other income and increased family pension amortisation. Net premium income increased to nearly Rs 1.2 lakh crore, with total income at about Rs 2.3 lakh crore. LIC MD & CEO Siddhartha Mohanty said that the corporation would finalise its plans to acquire stake in a health insurer during the current fiscal.
