Unifi Mutual Fund to launch two new funds
CHENNAI: Unifi Mutual Fund will launch two new funds over the next four months. It comes close on the heels of the company launching its maiden scheme, a fortnight ago.
"We launched the first scheme of the mutual fund on March 3 and closed on 7. In five days, we had 2,200 investors," Unifi Capital founder Sarath Reddy said on the occasion of the dedication of the Unifi Mutual Fund here.
"Our plan is to have only three funds for the next five years. Probably, we will be the fund house with the least number of funds in the whole country. And we are very happy with that," he added.
Later, in an interaction with reporters, Reddy said the first fund was towards fixed income. “The second one will be 100% equity. The third is something that will be a hybrid, where we will move between equity and debt. In May, we hope to launch the flexicap equity and sometime by June or July, the third, which is the hybrid, will come," he said.
