Agartala: The RSP, a constituent of the Left Front, has become vocal against CPM after the disastrous results in the West Bengal assembly polls and advised it to rethink it's strategy.
A day before the CPM politburo meeting in Delhi on Sunday, veteran RSP leader Sudarshan Bhattacharjee said CPM needs to review its policy if it wants to stay afloat in the country's politics.

"The party leaders must have a brainstorming session to change their political discourse in view of the electoral debacle in West Bengal. The CPM must introspect it's philosophy and practice in Tripura which they have been ruling for the last 23 years," he added.
Admitting that the Left Front is rapidly losing its acceptance among people due to its wrong political ideology, Bhattacharjee said CPM has shifted its political stand. "We have forgotten that Left parties like CPM and RSP were floated as revolutionary forces. But now, they have turned power hungry. As a result, aspiration among party leaders is also gradually increasing," he said.
Referring to West Bengal, Bhattacharjee said, "We forget what we had promised before the election - an alternative policy. Unfortunately, we forged electoral understanding to resist Trinmool Congress which has backfired."
He added that people of West Bengal did not accept the alliance between CPM and Congress that resulted in a horrible outcome in the election.
On being asked if there is a possibility of a split in the Left Front, the veteran leader said the party would take the decision after getting feedback on the issue. On the other hand, chief minister Manik Sarkar has cancelled his visit to Delhi to attend the party's politburo meeting scheduled for Monday.
