3 held for killing biryani seller in UP's Tajganj

AGRA: Police on Monday claimed to have cracked the murder case of 27-year-old Gulfam Ali, who worked at a biryani restaurant in Tajganj area, with the arrest of three accused following an encounter.


Hours after the murder on April 23 night, a video circulated online showing a man declaring that the murder was "retribution" for the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent people.

Police commissioner Deepak Kumar said accused Priyansh Yadav, 21, Shivam Baghel, 20, and Pushpendra Baghel, 22, attacked Gulfam and his co-worker Saif Ali over quality and price of biryani.

Gulfam was shot by Pushpendra while Shivam targeted Saif Ali, Priyansh Yadav recorded incident, and the video was uploaded by Manoj Chaharary, 25.
