Police unravel SP MLA's lie
ALLAHABAD: Armed with a ballistic examination report of the carbine belonging to the security guard of Bhadohi MLA and Samajwadi Party leader, Vijay Mishra, the police have swung into action and lodged an FIR against the MLA as well as his guard Sanjay Maurya who sustained bullet injuries when the carbine went off injuring him.
The MLA in an apparent bid to give a political hue to the incident had gone ahead with accusing the state government and two of its ministers of conspiring to murder him.

The MLA had also accused IG zone S K Shukla of playing a dubious role.
Pointedly, the SP leader was holding a public meeting in village Berna near Phulpur when the carbine of his security guard Sanjay Maurya went off which resulted in Maurya sustaining serious injuries. He was admitted at a city hospital. Mishra, however, raised a hue and cry over the episode which shocked the top police brass.
After the police obtained conclusive evidence that the bullets which hit Maurya were not fired by an outsider, the police conducted raids at the known places of residence of the SP leader but failed to trace him. The raids were carried out in Allahabad, Varanasi, Bhadohi and Lucknow.
