TIRUPATI: Chittoor police arrested a notorious ganja smuggler along with his three other accomplices and seized 14 kgs of prohibited Ganja substance from the possession of the accused on Wednesday.

Sudhakar Reddy, Chittoor rural CI P Srinivasa Reddy who acted on credible information took four accused near the Varigipalli flyover bridge along the Tirupati-Bengaluru highway on Wednesday morning.
Police found out during the course of the enquiry that SK Sumathi belonging to Vijayawada purchased 14kg of ganja from one Eswara Rao at Tuni. She packed the Ganja in small portions in plastic covers and concealed them inside her burqa. She transported the prohibited substance on a bike to Chittoor, with the help of one T Prudhvi Raj.
