BANGALORE: Thirty years after his death, the grandsons of Kannada film industry's most illustrious comedian, Narasimharaju, are carrying out his unfulfilled wish.
The man who entertained lakhs of people for years with his inimitable acting and style died in 1979, in his 50's. Of his five daughters and three sons, one daughter and one son have died.
Narasimharaju's son Narahari Raju tried his bit in acting, but only to move out of it later.

His daughter Sudha Narasimharaju has continued to be in the profession. But none in the family could make it as a hero or a director, as wished by the late comedian.
Now, 30 years after his death, Narasimharaju's grandsons -- S D Aravind and his younger brother Avinash Diwakar, sons of the comedian's daughter, Dharmavathi -- will carry on the legacy.
`Jugari', a movie directed by Aravind with Avinash in the lead role is set for release in October. It is produced by a businessman G R Ramesh.
"He (Narasimharaju) had a dream to make his son a hero, but it remained unfulfilled. It is now being fulfilled in the form of his grandsons," said Sharadamma, wife of Narasimharaju, on Saturday.
Sudha was happy too. "The third generation is continuing his legacy. It's great to have both his grandsons in the same movie, one directing and the other acting in the lead," she said.
A post-graduate in mass communication, Aravind, who was into documentary and TV serial-making plus theatre activities, said his ambition in life is to continue to be part of the silver screen.
