Meesho plans to get 10 m small biz online by 2027

Bengaluru: E-commerce marketplace Meesho has set a goal to onboard 10 million small businesses by 2027. This aspirational goal marks a ten-fold expansion of the current seller base of 1.3 million.
A recent report by consulting firm RedSeer says India has an estimated 85 million MSMEs, yet only a mere 1.5 million currently operate online. The disparity underscores the immense untapped potential within this sector.
Vidit Aatrey, CEO & founder of Meesho, said the company's 2027 vision is a testament to its ongoing mission of democratising internet commerce for all. "The resilience and vitality of MSMEs form the backbone of our nation," he said. tnn
