Cybercrime police arrested two men, including a Nigerian, for allegedly conning people of money, on the pretext of selling cars on online trading portals.

BENGALURU: Cybercrime police arrested two men, including a Nigerian, for allegedly conning people of money, on the pretext of selling cars on online trading portals.
The accused are Augustin Oniyema alias Peter, a Nigerian, and his aide Jagadish Kumar alias Devariah, a resident of Bengaluru. Police recovered one motorcycle, five mobile phones and a laptop from the duo.

Cops said Peter would post photos of high-end cars on portals for sale. Once people responded to the ad, he would ask them to pay an advance online. Soon after the money was transferred, Peter would remove the SIM card from the phone and go missing.
