Reversing cab driver kills boy

Bengaluru: A five-year-old boy was crushed to death by a car when he was playing outside his house with three children in west Bengaluru on Thursday evening.
Likhit Prakash, the only son of cab driver Prakash and homemaker Divya, was playing outside his Janata Colony residence in Byatarayanapura, Mysuru Road, around 8.30pm. "The Maruti Omni, transporting mineral water cans, was going up a slope.The driver failed to control the vehicle and it abruptly reversed and killed the child," police said. The other children escaped unhurt. The driver fled leaving the vehicle behind.
KIA expressway accident kills senior citizen
A 70-year-old pedestrian died after a speeding airport cab knocked him down near Paalanahalli Gate, Yelahanka, on Friday noon. Chennarayappa Muniyappa was crossing the KIA expressway when the car rammed him. Driver Jaya Krishna, 26, was arrested. tnn
