Chandigarh: The UT police has arrested two impersonators for appearing in a written examination for promotion of
Haryana Patwaris on Tuesday. According to latest reports, the two genuine candidates were also arrested later in the day.
The police produced both the accused before the local court, which sent them in police custody for further interrogation.
Sector 11 police said the accused are Kasim Ahmad , a resident of New Indira colony, Manimajra, and Nasib , a resident of Fatehabad in Haryana.
In his complaint to sector 11 police ,
Harish Kumar of Sector 23 reported that the written examinations for the promotion of patwaris of Haryana was going on at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan in Sector 15 and he the supervisor.
“During the Urdu exam, I saw two candidates behaving in a suspicious manner. They were also reluctant to show their admit cards,” Kumar added.
