NEW DELHI: A massive fire continues to rage in a hardware and electric shop near Bhoja Wali Mandir in Bhiwani, Haryana, after it broke out early Friday morning, officials said.

Fire Officer Rajesh Kumar confirmed that the fire department received information about the blaze around 5.30am, fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The fire reportedly started in the basement of the shop due to batteries stored there, which caught fire.
"As the fire broke out in the basement, the area is filled with thick smoke, making it difficult for fire personnel to enter. We have called for an earth-moving machine to assist in the operation," Kumar said.
Efforts to douse the flames are still underway, and further details are awaited.
