Mohali: Deprived of civic amenities, wards 17 and 27 in Kharar will soon undergo extensive development work, Punjab labour minister Anmol Gagan Maan told here on Thursday.
Maan reviewed the problems being faced by the residents of ward number 17 and 27 in Kharar. She also heard various complaints of the residents, and told them about various development projects.
“Previous governments ignored public amenities and kept them deprived.
We will provide all sorts of civic amenities for the public, and will spend crores of rupees for the development,” she said.
She also asked the officials of the departments concerned to take quick action by issuing necessary guidelines.
She said these development works include installing streetlights, interlocking tiles, development of parks, drinking water, construction of compound wall around cremation ground, a guest house and other public buildings.
She added that the Punjab government, led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann, has accelerated the overall development of Kharar.
