Mohali: The administration is all geared up to host the state's first equestrian festival on March 1 and 2. Deputy commissioner Aashika Jain said the event is being organised at The Ranch, Forest Hills, Karoran, where preparations are in full swing.
She said the festival will have a number of events such as horse jumping, ring competitions of Marwari and Nukra horses, tent pegging, all horse breeds display, heritage fashion show, cultural events, food and shopping exhibitions, and an expert talk show spanning two days. The timing will be 8 am to 7 pm daily.
ADC Sonam Chaudhary said that horses from reputed stud farms and clubs across the state and country will participate in the festival. Apart from that, horse-riding competition organisers have also been engaged for the event.
