Sharma-Punjab police nabs gangster in Ferozepur; huge cache of arms, ammunition recovered

FEROZEPUR: The Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab police has arrested a notorious gangster, identified as Hardeep Singh alias Deep, a resident of Ghal Khurd village in Ferozepur, here on Sunday.
The Police have also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the gangster including 3 Pistols (one Glock Pistol, one Beretta caliber .30MM and one pump action gun) 141 assorted cartridges (9MM, .30 caliber, 12 bore), 45 grams heroin
and a car.
"In an Intelligence-based operation, Counter Intelligence #Ferozepur apprehends smuggler-cum-gangster Hardeep Singh @ Deepa of village Ghal Khurd, Ferozepur, and recovers 3 sophisticated weapons arsenal and narcotics," director general of police Gauarv Yadav said in a post on X.
According to Punjab DGP, preliminary investigation revealed that the weapons were smuggled across the border in order to carry out terror and criminal activities. Following the arrest, a case has been registered in Fazilka while further investigation is underway.
