CHANDIGARH: Yograj Singh, father of Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh, was on Tuesday sentenced to six-month imprisonment.

CHANDIGARH: Former Test cricketer Yograj Singh, father of Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh, was on Tuesday sentenced to six-month imprisonment in a road accident case.
The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Sudeep Goel found Yograj Singh guilty of injuring a scooterist with his car here on July 27, 2000.
Yograj had been charged with causing grievous injury to one Mulakh Raj by hitting his scooter from behind with the car he was driving.

Though the cricketer''s counsel denied the charge, the prosecution said that the damaged number plate of the car of Yograj Singh was found at the spot near Palsoura barrier in the Union territory.
