CHENNAI: The images of key landmarks of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are painted on Nos 06075/06076 SBC Double Decker Express train running between Chennai and Bengaluru.
Each of the eight compartments have paintings of landmarks like Chepauk stadium, Valluvar Kottam, Thiruvalluvar statue, Auroville dome, Mysore Palace, Lal Bagh and others.
Southern Railway got the exterior and interior of the train painted in association with Nippon Paint India
Mahesh Anand, president, Nippon Paint (Decorative) India said, “We are happy to partner with Southern Railway for this very special project to beautify the double decker train.

The theme has come out really well and highlights the important landmarks of both cities – Chennai and Bengaluru along with our favourite blobbies. Through all these artworks, we are taking the passengers on Nippon Paint’s brand journey. It is wonderful to see these beautified trains receiving a lot of love from passengers, many of whom are seen taking selfies inside and outside the compartments.”
