Three IPS officers transferred

COIMBATORE: Inspector-general of police S N Seshasai, who had successfully handled the parliamentary election process as the IGP (elections), has been transferred and posted as the Tirupur city commissioner of police. Seshai has replaced deputy inspector-general of police (DIG) M T Ganesamurthy who is on leave.
DIG N K Senthamaraikannan, who was DIG (elections) has been transferred and posted as DIG Trichy range in the existing vacancy.DIG C Easwaramoorthy, who was on deputation in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been posted as DIG, Internal Security (intelligence), a new post created after the post of DIG, SB-CID (state intelligence) was temporarily suspended.
State home secretary Apurva Varma issued the orders with immediate effect on Monday.
