Speed up actors’ divorce case: HC

Cuttack: The Orissa high court on Thursday declined to transfer BJD’s Lok Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty’s divorce petition to another family court. The matter is pending before the family court in Cuttack for over two years. However, Chief Justice S Muralidhar directed the Cuttack family court to complete cross examination of the actor-turned politician’s estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini by July 31.The chief justice also directed the family court to conclude both sides’ arguments within four weeks thereof, while setting a three-month deadline for disposal of the divorce petition.
