NEW DELHI: Prima facie it appears that Karandeep Singh Arora, a student of class 8 at Tamanna School for special children, was killed by his parents, but the police are yet to find any conclusive evidence. Karandeep was mentally and physically challenged and had recently fallen ill with dengue. His parents committed suicide, allegedly after killing him.
The police said what has "confused" them is the fact that there are no marks of strangulation or smothering on Arora's body.

"There is no froth so poison has been ruled out," said Virender Singh Chahal, additional commissioner (southeast).
The cops said the body does not indicate there was any sign of struggle. "But given the boy's condition, it's
possible that he could not offer any resistance," said the investigating officer from Sarita Vihar.
"We are waiting for the postmortem report of Karan to ascertain how he was killed. Since he was suffering from a number of other ailments, there are possibilities that he might have died due to natural death. A preliminary report in this matter is expected on Tuesday," said Chahal.
What has also come as a surprise to the police is the fact that the school cab driver had come to pick up the boy even though he was suffering from dengue. "We are investigating if the school was informed about the incident," said the officer.

Cops said they are investigating the manner in which the industrialist Shaminder Singh Arora had planned to "end the life of his family members." "Not only the letters recovered from the couple, including the suicide notes indicate they have been planning it for sometime, even the manner in which they left the house suggest they were firm in their decision," said a senior police officer. "In the suicide note to Karan's grandfather Daljeet Singh, Shaminder had indicated that he had kept money for him in his wife's almirah. We also found a Rs 2 lakh cheque in the name of HDFC Bank drawn from the PNB branch of Sarita Vihar. We believe that Shaminder wanted to open a health insurance but could not do so as his factory in Sonepat ran into trouble."
