Two arrested for killing man in east Delhi
New Delhi: Two persons were arrested for allegedly killing a man in east Delhi's Yamuna Khadar area as revenge for a past altercation. The man, along with his friends, had thrashed one of the accused a few months earlier.
On April 18, police received a missing person's complaint regarding one Sanjay, a resident of Chilla Village. Later, an unidentified body, matching the physical description of the missing person, was recovered from the Yamuna river. The body was identified as that of Sanjay on April 20, and a case was registered.

Deputy commissioner of police (East) Abhishek Dhania said that Vicky (23), along with his aide Amit, took Sanjay from near the community centre in Chilla to Yamuna Khadar on a motorcycle. There, they attacked him with bricks and subsequently disposed of the body in the Yamuna.
After a probe, police apprehended Vicky. He told the cops that about seven months ago, he and Amit assaulted a few individuals from Chilla who were known to Sanjay. In retaliation, on Sept 16, Sanjay and his associates allegedly kidnapped Amit and thrashed him. A case was registered in that matter too. Since then, the accused planned revenge.
"One of the accused befriended Sanjay and gained his trust. He convinced him to come to the Khadar area, where they made him drink alcohol before murdering him," police said. TNN
