Water to release into Kalingarayan Canal in Erode district

ERODE: The state government has instructed officials from the water resources department to start releasing water from the Bhavanisagar dam into the Kalingarayan canal in Erode district, beginning Wednesday. This release will take place until April 23, 2025.
This action will benefit 15,743 acres of land across the Bhavani, Erode, Modakurichi, and Kodumudi blocks in the district.
