Calangute: A jet-ski boat’s motor caught fire at Baga beach on Sunday evening, but the fire was doused immediately with seawater by water sports operators. Spotting the fire, lifeguards rushed to assist, and no one was injured.
In a separate incident at Baga beach, lifesavers rescued two Kazakhstani women, aged 22 and 37, using a rescue board and rescue tube and reunited a lost five-year-old boy from Karnataka with his family.
Lifesavers rescued two Bengaluru men from a rip current at Calangute beach. They reunited two missing children, administered first aid to two individuals, and foiled a robbery attempt.
In another incident at Candolim, lifesavers rescued two Kolkata tourists, aged 32 and 34, and a 60-year-old Russian man from drowning.
