2 men detained with over 4kg heroin in Mizoram

Aizawl: Members of Central Anti Drugs Squad of the central committee of the Young Mizo Association nabbed and detained two persons for allegedly transporting 4.821 kilos of heroin (400 packets or ‘hawngs') at Saitual town, the district headquarters of north-eastern Mizoram's Saitual district, on Thursday morning, a CYMA leader said reports HC Vanlalruata.
The leader told TOI that Thangsangpuia alias Puia (28) and Malsawmdawnga (29), both residents Champhai district bordering Myanmar, were nabbed while transporting the contraband, in their respective cars. Thangsangpuia is residing in Aizawl, while Malsawmdawnga's temporary address is Khawmawi village in the Chin state of Myanmar near the Mizoram border.
