Arunachal guv inaugurates war memorial in Longding
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh governor KT Parnaik on Sunday virtually inaugurated a war memorial in Longding district, dedicated to the memory of Lance Naik Agoi Wangsa, Shaurya Chakra (posthumous), a brave son of the state who laid down his life in the line of duty, reports Joken Ete.
Paying heartfelt homage, the governor said the Indian Army, the state and the entire nation salute the unmatched courage and supreme sacrifice of Lance Naik Wangsa. He also expressed deep admiration for veer nari Koiman Wangsa, the soldier's wife, lauding her strength and resilience. He assured the bereaved family that the state govt remains committed to providing all necessary support.
"As we unveil this memorial today, it is my hope that it will stand as a lasting tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service of our heroes, past, present, and future," Parnaik said.
