At least 6 trapped as six-storey under-construction building collapses in Telangana

HYDERABAD: An under-construction six-storey building collapsed in Bhadrachalam on Wednesday, trapping an unknown number of workers under the debris. Locals said that at least six workers were inside when the structure collapsed. Police confirmed hearing the voices of at least two workers and were making efforts to rescue them.



The building, reportedly constructed without proper permission, had been flagged by local authorities and a social worker, but work continued despite warnings. It was being built on behalf of a trust by a person named Sripathi.

"I heard a loud noise, and within moments, the entire building had collapsed. I don't know exactly how many workers were inside, but I'm certain there were at least two," said a local resident from Bonala Veedhi, where the collapse occurred.
