Award-winning works by kids to be exhibited

HYDERABAD: An exhibition of prize-winning paintings, cartoons, dolls and toys made by children from all over the country will be on display at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan Art Gallery at Public Gardens from February 22 to 25.

HYDERABAD: An exhibition of prize-winning paintings, cartoons, dolls and toys made by children from all over the country will be on display at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan Art Gallery at Public Gardens from February 22 to 25.
The exhibition consists of works by children, including physically and mentally challenged, in the age group of 5-16 years.
The works displayed were selected from the national-level competitions held by the Child Art Club National Council in August 2003.

More than 6,000 children from 300 schools from all over the country took part in the competitions. The exhibition will display over 200 works, which include 50 works by mentally and physically challenged children.
The exhibition is being organised by the council in association with the Jawahar Bal Bhavan, council cofounder Sarojini Babjee said at a press conference here on Tuesday.
