Kamareddy Assembly Elections Results 2023 Live: BJP's K Venkata Ramana Reddy emerged as a giant killer by defeating chief minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana PCC chief Revanth Reddy in Kamareddy assembly constituency on Sunday. He vanquished his nearest rival KCR by a margin of 6,741 votes.

Counting of votes for the Kamareddy assembly constituency started at 8 AM on December 3.Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Kamareddy seat by defeating his opponents, CM KCR and Telangana PCC chief Anumula Revanth Reddy.
In the 2018 assembly polls, Gampa Govardhan from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), presently associated with the Bhartiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS), retained his position as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kamareddy, securing 42.02% of the total votes cast. Govardhan emerged victorious with a 2.83% margin over his closest rival, Mohd Ali Shabbir of the Indian National Congress. The electoral process in 2018 witnessed a substantial voter turnout of 78.83%, with a total of 74,891 male and 86,234 female voters exercising their franchise.
