HYDERABAD: A paediatrician from the city, Rachel Priyanka Pulla, who is also the founder of Healing Train Foundation, has received the prestigious MTI (Medical Training Initiative) Fellowship at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, the United Kingdom (UK).

Being a child wellness advocate, Dr Rachel started the "Healing Train Foundation" in 2019 to reach out to children and mainly cater to young girls.

This was with the goal to make a difference in child development and menstrual hygiene which is vital to the empowerment and well-being of girls worldwide.

In the last three years, Healing Train Foundation conducted 30 medical camps and distributed reusable hygiene kits reaching 28,000 children in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana..

Through the fellowship program Dr Rachel will be pursuing her super speciality studies in Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care.

Till recently, Rachel worked as a paediatrician at Stork Home (Dr. Fernandez Hospital) in Hyderabad.

Rachel who takes interest in new research and health care technology says she will gain broader international experience with the MTI which is sponsored by the prestigious Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, UK.
