HYDERABAD: Corporate consultant T Sunil Reddy, who was arrested for allegedly forging the signature of a Rajya Sabha member, was granted bail by a local court on Monday.
Sunil was arrested by the CID sleuths on charges of having forged Rajya Sabha MP M A Khan's signature on a letterhead sent to Union home ministry levelling charges against DGP V Dinesh Reddy.
CID got an order for two-day custody of Sunil Reddy.
During interrogation, Sunil reportedly confessed that he had committed the offence at the behest of a senior IPS officer. The investigating officials produced him before the VIth additional chief metropolitan magistrate on Monday. The court granted Sunil a conditional bail. He was released from the Chanchalguda prison in the evening.
